This one is for my little explorer.

Most afternoons, you can find Jake and me outside – collecting sticks, hunting for the perfect rock to throw, and/or marveling at the curious plants, bugs and backyard wildlife we stumble upon.

Nature Scavenger Hunts are a different & fun way to spend quality time with your littles outdoors, while also playing and learning right along with them.

And, when you are encouraged to look a little harder to find the things on your list, you just might find you notice and appreciate the things that are around you every day just a little bit more.  I sure do.

In spirit of the holiday, I put together this Halloween-themed hunt to do with my little guy.

I invite you to grab your camera (I took these with my cell phone), a pen and a sheet of paper, your favorite pair of binoculars ;-), the kiddos (along with a can or two of bug spray if you live around here), and play with us!

By the way, if you do, I’d love for you to share what you’ve found in your backyard and around your neighborhood!

Happy Hunting!
