Hi, there! Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m Courtney – milspouse, mom, writer, editor and content manager.
I grew up in a small Texas town where I knew nothing but roots until my husband joined the military shortly after we got married. Since then, we’ve spent time at Fort Gordon, Fort Bliss, and Fort Sam Houston/JBSA, and we’ve welcomed two baby boys into our family along the way.
In 2015, the call of duty beckoned us to move, once again – this time, around the world. Now, we’re doing life in a beautiful little German village far from our family, friends and all that is familiar.

I have a heart for our troops and strive to share what little I have learned from my journey to serve and encourage fellow military families and mamas.
We’re all in this together.
I completed a Master of Arts degree in Human Services Counseling: Military Resilience from Liberty University and a Bachelor of Arts with concentrations in English, Art and Hospitality Management from the University of North Texas. Currently, I work part-time as the International Military Life Blogger and Community Manager for USAA, and I am a contributing writer for Stars and Stripes Europe and Military One Click.

When I’m not behind the computer, you’re likely to find me: caring for my home and family; exploring new places, and learning more about the world with my husband and our boys; traveling by way of the pages of a good book, and working to refine my novice photography skills.
I’m looking forward to getting to know you!
